The Jewish cemetery in Wielowieś was established in the 17th century. In 1749, a fence was built. The last funeral took place in 1929.
About 200 tombstones have survived on the area of 1 ha, the oldest of which belongs to Jonathan Bloch, who died in 1722.
According to data from 1915, the oldest matzevah in the cemetery at that time was the stele belonging to Jitel, Aszyk's daughter, who died in March 1702. Originally, there was a funeral home at the entrance to the cemetery. Only the posts that supported the gate have survived from the fence.
In 2003, the inhabitants of Wielowieś began cleaning up the cemetery. The work was initiated by Grzegorz Kamińsk. With help came, among others Mayor of Wielowieś Józef Schiitz, residents and students from the school history club.
